VISA is pleased to announce the indoor development programs starting on Sunday, November 17th to Sunday, December 15th, 2013 for a total of for four weeks (there are five dates listed in the event of a school cancellation) and then again in the new year starting on Sunday, January 19th to Sunday, March 9th, 2014 for a total of eight weeks. The aim for the indoor development programs is to introduce the young soccer players to training techniques and small sided game play with a Futsal ball. The weighted version of a soccer ball allows the players to develop a better first touch in receiving the ball, concentrate on better passing technique and play with more creativity in a tight space with a different training surface than outdoors. The sessions are lively, intense and demanding. The programs will be lead by Shel Brodsgaard, with the support of a host of mentor coaches from the VISA Academy. Importantly, the end of these indoor development programs will coincide with the spring break holiday and upon the students return to school will also be the start of the Spring Soccer Academy in the first week of April. Information meetings and registration for the 2014 Spring Soccer Academy (which runs for 12 weeks from April-June) will take place in the new year with a date to be posted before the end of January 2014.
